REDES

A unique coastal gem of the Ares Estuary, known for its colourful houses, peaceful harbour and timeless charm. Such a unique place that it was the chosen location for Pedro Almodóvar's film "Silencio".

FRAGAS DO EUME

One of Europe’s best-preserved Atlantic forests. A magical woodland of hanging bridges, monasteries and ancient paths.

PONTEDEUME

A charming fishing village with beautiful cobbled streets and stunning scenery. Strolling through the old town is a true delight. A place not to miss—small enough to see in half a day.
A must-see for those following the English Way to Santiago de Compostela, crossing the exceptional stone bridge that gives this village its name.

BATERIA DE SUDOVA

On a hill at Punta Coitelada, you’ll find the Sudova Battery, an old military bastion built in the early 20th century to defend the Ferrol estuary.
Besides exploring the structures, you can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the surrounding coastline.

ERMIDA DE NOSA SEÑORA DA MERCÉ DE CHANTEIRO

This Gothic-style hermitage was built in the second half of the 16th century, featuring pointed arches and a distinctive ribbed vault.
The legend of the Virgin to whom it is devoted dates back to 1404, when Europe was suffering from the great pandemic.

POSTO DE MANDO SALGUEIRA

The Salgueira Battery, built in the early 20th century, was equipped with powerful Munáiz Argüelles-type cannons with a remarkable firing range of 13,700 meters.
Its aim was to prevent enemy ships from entering the nearby beach and inlet.

MONASTERIO DE SANTA CATALINA DE MONTEFARO

Although no longer used for religious purposes, this place retains a unique energy. Its corridors, steeped in history, and the surrounding tranquility invite you to disconnect.
Occasionally used for cultural events and exhibitions. Even if closed, the environment alone is worth the visit.
